Welcome to CreatorBook.in ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy applies to our website (creatorbook.in) and our Android mobile app ("the App"). By using our service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
We are committed to complying with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) and the Google Play Store Developer Policies.
1. What is Our Service?
CreatorBook.in is a digital learning platform that provides Indian YouTube creators with the "Creator Growth eBook" — an interactive, online-only Flipbook Viewer.
- No PDF Download: The eBook is not a downloadable file. It is served as high-quality images within our secure viewer, accessible only after login and payment verification.
- Subscription Model: Access is provided for 1 year from the date of purchase, with 3 free updates included.
- Payment Gateway: All payments are processed securely through Razorpay. We do not store your card or banking details.
2. Information We Collect
A. When You Create an Account
- Google Sign-In: Name, Email Address, and Profile Picture (via Firebase Authentication).
- Email/Password Sign-Up: Name, Email Address, and an encrypted password (we never see your plain-text password).
- Firebase User ID (UID): A unique identifier that links your login to your purchase status.
B. When You Make a Purchase
- We receive a Transaction ID and payment status (Success/Failure) from Razorpay to verify and activate your access.
- We store: your email, product purchased, transaction ID, purchase date, and access expiry date.
- We do NOT store credit card numbers, CVV codes, net-banking credentials, or UPI PINs — these are handled entirely by Razorpay.
C. When You Use the App / Website
- Last Read Page Number: Stored in Firebase to sync your reading progress across devices.
- Device ID: A randomly generated ID stored in your browser's localStorage to prevent unauthorized account sharing (one account = one primary device).
- IP Address: Logged by our server for security, fraud detection, and to prevent piracy.
- Referral Activity: If you use our referral program, we track your referral clicks and calculated earnings.
D. What We Do NOT Collect

- ❌ Contacts or phonebook
- ❌ Camera or microphone
- ❌ Files or photos from your device
- ❌ Call logs or SMS
- ❌ Biometric data
3. How We Use Your Information
- Authentication: To verify your identity when you log in via Google or Email.
- Access Control: To check if your account has an active paid status before loading the eBook.
- Bookmark Sync: To remember your last read page so you can continue from any device.
- Security: To detect and prevent account sharing, piracy, and unauthorized access.
- Communication: To send purchase confirmations and important service updates to your registered email.
- Analytics: To understand how users interact with our platform so we can improve it (using anonymized, aggregated data).

5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone. We share data only in these limited scenarios:
- With service providers listed above — only to the extent needed to run our platform.
- Legal requirement: If required by Indian law, court order, or a government authority.
- Fraud/Security: To protect users and our platform from fraudulent activity.
6. Data Retention
- Active accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
- After deletion request: All personal data is permanently deleted from our servers within 24–48 hours of a verified deletion request. Anonymous transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax/legal compliance under Indian law, but will be de-linked from your identity.
7. Account Deletion (Your Right)
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time.

- Mention your registered email address.
- Your account and all data will be permanently deleted within 24–48 hours.
⚠️ Deletion is permanent. Access to all purchased content will be lost and cannot be recovered.
8. Data Security
- HTTPS/TLS 1.2+: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted.
- Firebase Security Rules: Your data in our database is protected so only your authenticated account can access it.
- No Plain-Text Passwords: Passwords are securely hashed by Firebase — we never have access to them.
- Anti-Piracy Protection: Our viewer uses technology to prevent screen capture and unauthorized copying of eBook content.
9. Children's Privacy
Our platform is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at support@creatorbook.in and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last Updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification before they take effect.
